CatFace Talent was launched by Charlotte Austin and Paul Weedon in early 2014 with the help of its sister company, Red 24 Management.
With almost 10 years of experience in the comedy industry Charlotte’s expertise lies in raw, live stand-up comedy – her favourite thing in the world. She has a vast knowledge and understanding of the comedy circuit, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, tours, producing shows, booking and running gigs, corporate events and managing diaries. Charlotte has previously represented some of the biggest names in UK comedy including Edinburgh Comedy Award nominees and worked closely with the likes of John Bishop, Jason Manford, Josie Long and Johnny Vegas.
Paul Weedon has over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry and is the founder and senior agent of Red 24 Management. Having spent a number of years heading up a team in Los Angeles, Paul wanted to launch a TV Talent Management company with a fresh US inspired approach to the industry, which he successfully did so in 2008.
With an impressive roster of talent the CatFace team is the UK’s leading live agency and are experts in taking acts from the club circuit to big capacity venues and nationwide tours. The first show they produced, ‘Take A Comedian Out’ opened to a sell out audience at Edinburgh’s 750 seat Pleasance Grand in August 2014, and they have since produced successful shows and tours including performances at the prestigious 1,200 capacity EICC in Edinburgh, the Clapham Grand and the O2 venues in Kentish Town and Shepherds Bush.
CatFace also books international gigs and festival shows for their comedians as well as sourcing and co-ordinating all of their corporate engagements.
This year, our shows have sold thousands of tickets at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, won awards for ‘Best Magic’ and ‘Best Comedy’, sold out Insomnia Gaming Festival, sold out the O2 Forum, collaborated with huge fashion brand New Look, and we’ve even had one broadcast on BBC1.
This August, CatFace will be producing seven shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival including triumphant returns from The Dark Room, Kevin Quantum and Anna Morris as well as a brand new kids show, a circus fusion show and a late night magic show.
With a purpose built office right in the centre of London, CatFace consists of a young and dedicated team who work closely with the people they represent and love nothing more than sitting in the audience to watch one of their clients at work.
So what does all this mean?! CatFace book gigs, tour shows, develop emerging talent, and in truth…they’re planning on taking over the
